While traveling in Turin in 1889, German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche assist in whipping a horse. To protect it, he threw his arms around the horse’s neck, then collapses. Less than a month after the incident, Nietzsche is diagnosed with a mental illness that will silence and will clinch bed for the next 11 years, until his death at age 65. But what happened to the horse? The film explores the life master, his daughter and even a horse.
