“Crulic – The Path to Beyond” tells the true story of Claudiu Crulic, a Romanian arrested in Poland for alleged theft, kept in jail despite later evidence showing that at the time of the robbery, he was no longer in the Polish capital, and abandoned by everyone to Death from hunger strike. Romanian Foreign Minister at the time, Adrian Cioroianu has resigned, while in Poland, three doctors are still on trial for the death of Crulic. The film recounts the drama but with a fresh humor that makes you laugh and cry at the same time.

The film obtained in 2011 Don Quijote Special Mention at Locarno, Amnesty Award at CPH DOX Copenhagen Festival, Special Jury Award International Film Festival in Warsaw. Cottbus (Germany) was awarded Special Mention of the international jury and prize ecumenical Silver Eye Award at Jihlava (Czech Republic), and the Award for Best Documentary Romanian offered in the framework of the 11th International Festival Documentary Film Astra in Sibiu.
