The film tells the true story of Warren Jeffs, leader of fundamentalist Mormons who learned more than a year on the FBI’s most wanted list of 10 offenders. He was accused of arranging illegal marriages which involved underage girls. Production shows coming to power of Jeffs (Tony Goldwyn) after the death of his father, Rulon Jeffs (Martin Landau). A few days after his death, Warren was married to all wives dictatorial father and took control of polygamous disciples. The film looks at the psychology of a cult leader and those who followed him blindly.
