John and Alice are newlywed couple, deeply in love one another, living in a small town in North America and are always running out of money. In high school, Alice was voted the student with the best chance to succeed in life, but now barely is able to live from day to day and put a plate of food on the table, while other friends and former colleagues are successful in careers and have need of nothing.
Neurotic husband John, suffering from all sorts of phobias, he just wants to get the money to pay off outstanding bills. Once you are involved in an automobile accident, Alice enters into an antique shop located on the roadside and is irresistibly drawn to a teapot that decide to steal, shortly realizing that the object has magical powers and make money whenever a person feels physical pain or emotional.
Thrilled by the extraordinary source of money laziness, John and Alice begin to invent ways to injure themselves, each other or other people. As you reach a threshold suffering intolerably high, the couple realize that they slipped too much on this slippery slope.
