Nick, as an observer of our world came through, write a story about love unfulfilled dreams and immortal tragedy and put a mirror in front of our modern world and its hardships.
Actor Oscar nominee Leonardo DiCaprio (Django Unchained, The Aviator), portrays Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire stars as Nick Carraway, Carey Mulligan, Oscar nominated, and Joel Edgerton and Tom plays the roles of Daisy Buchanan, Isla Fisher and Jason Clarke plays characters Myrtle Wilson and George and Elizabeth Dębicki new appearance plays Jordan Baker. Indian film legend Amitabh Bachchan plays Meyer’s Wolfshiem.
Luhrmann, nominated for an Oscar (Moulin Rouge!) Directed the film in 3D from the screenplay he wrote with his longtime collaborator Craig Pearce based on Fitzgerald’s novel. Luhrmann produced the film with Catherine Martin, Oscar winner Douglas Wick (Gladiator), Lucy Fisher and Cather Knapman. The executive producers are Academy Award winner Barrie M. Osborne (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King), Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Bruce Berman.
Catherine Martin, winner of two Oscars for costume and set design, film and stage design created and produced. The director of photography is Simon Duggan and editing was done by Matt Villa and Jonathan Redmond Jason Ballantine.
