In the film, Vaughn Leah (Lathan) appears to have an ideal life. It enjoys a challenging career rapidly evolving as a lobbyist; Dave (Morris Chestnut), her boyfriend loves long. Yet, at 36, she is ready to move to the next step. Marriage and family seem a logical and welcome step. Dave is not so sure. A little scared of commitment, his doubts lead to a painful breakup.
In stage in Duncan Carter (Ealy), a handsome stranger, charming, whose road intersects Leah. Helpful and considerate to Leah, her family and friends, their relationship is progressing rapidly. Apparently Leah met the perfect man. But if it seems too good to be true … Soon Carter’s protective nature turns into something more sinister.
