The latest story of the new “Tomb Raider” series will be launched on the big screens in March 2018 and promises to be a stunning adventure and mystery cocktail that fans of the popular video game franchise are looking forward to. In the new film, Lara Croft, the independent daughter of a very eccentric adventurer who disappeared when she was adolescent, is a 21-year-old girl with no direction in her life. Lara walks through the chaotic streets of the modern East London, being a bicycle courier who barely can afford to rent.
He’s at college, but rarely attends classes. Decisive to follow her own path, she refuses to take over the reins of her father’s global empire, just as he hardly refuses to believe he is no longer. Asked to accept the truth and go on for seven years without him, she can not fully understand what makes her want to see the mystery of her father’s death so much.
By working against his father’s ultimate desire, Lara leaves everything behind and goes to the last destination where he knows it was: a tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere on the coast of Japan. But her mission will not be too easy, even the road itself, to the mysterious destination, is a very uncertain and dangerous one.
Suddenly the stakes become enormous for Lara, who – against all forecasts and armed only with an agile mind, blind faith and an unwavering spirit – must learn to overcome his limits as he advances on the unknown journey. Surviving it in this dangerous adventure will also mean its realization, thus obtaining the “tomb raider” surname.
