Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment feature the long-awaited sequel to Iron Man, the blockbuster that describes the adventures of Marvel’s legendary hero, and brings together director Jon Favreau and Oscar-nominated actor Robert Downey Jr.
It’s a fact well-known for everyone now that billionaire industry-maker Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is Iron Man, and Tony is trying to minimize the benefits of the famous costume by re-launching the extravagant Stark Expo, an exhibition of human-inspired innovations inspired by his technology. But the US government insists that the army be handed over to the army – a revolutionary warrior, and a mysterious character from the Stark family’s past, Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke), who wants to destroy Tony revealing his own devastating weapon built with Stark technology.
Overwhelmed by all sides, as he faces his own demons, Tony has to call his allies – old and new – to fight the enemies who want to destroy him and all mankind.
In Iron Man 2, Downey is “accompanied” by a cast of heroes and villains, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell, Mickey Rourke, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
