Last Days in Vietnam

In April 1975, the North Vietnamese army approached Saigon as South Vietnamese resistance collapsed. Approximately 5,000 Americans aproximatv were given 24 hours to leave. South Vietnamese allies, colleagues and friends could be imprisoned or sentenced to death if they remained. However, there was no official evacuation plan. Over the last few days in Vietnam, a city under a hail of bullets, 135,000 South Vietnamese managed to escape through a few Americans brave who were directly involved in a desperate attempt to save as many people as possible.
