In a combination of live action and motion capture, Serkis’ version of the Jungle Book will explore Mowgli’s human origins. The film follows the story of a child of wolves, while confronting the threat of a tiger named Shere Khan, as well as its origins. Nisa is the shepherd who adopts the baby Mowgli as one of her puppies, growing up and educating him alongside her pack in the jungle of India. While learning the harsh rules of the jungle, under the tutelage of a bear named Baloo and a panther called Bagheera, Mowgli becomes accepted by the jungle animals as one of their own. Of all, less than one: the fiery tiger Shere Khan, who is obsessed with hatred against people. However, there could be larger dangers hidden in the jungle as Mowgli comes face to face with his human origins. With the help of Baloo, Baghera and Ka Serpent, Mowgli will try to escape the enmity of a tiger who wants to kill him and find his way back to civilization.
