Year 1985. The unmanned Soviet space station, Salyut 7, which is on a lower Earth’s orbit, suddenly stops responding to Control Center commands. If the space station – the pride of Soviet space engineering – falls out of the sky, it will not only damage the image of the country, it will be a disaster with countless casualties. To investigate the problem and prevent the disaster, a crew must be sent to the station. No one has ever tried to dump an uncontrolled space vehicle. So far, this mission is considered to be the most difficult in the history of space exploration.
