Due to non-aggression pact between Hitler and Stalin in Ukraine in 1941 it was still quiet and two daughters Hebrew – pianist Larissa and violinist Abrascha – could dream that one day sing at Carnegie Hall, having given concerts throughout the Soviet Union, before important party members.

Their friendship with Hanna, the daughter of German brewer in the city, was also born of their shared passion for music. With the Nazi invasion, Jewish life is threatened, they become lonely people, as Hannah’s parents forbid her to see her friends.

Dedicated to the memory of the 1.5 million children who perished during the Holocaust, the film pays tribute touching innocence.
