Cheng Liang is a young Chinese illegal immigrant in Japan. One day, he gets a phone call about a job for someone else. Desperate to be hired, he claims to be the one to get a job in a traditional Japanese stove restaurant. He begins his new life, living and working alongside the stove master, who earns his trust, but is constantly afraid that his identity could be discovered at any time.
