After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and unsuspected martial arts skills, Po is called by fate to… rest for once. Specifically, he is called to become the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace.

This raises some obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he must quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new high position.

Even worse, an evil and powerful witch, the Chameleon (Academy Award® winner Viola Davis), a lizard who can transform into any creature, large or small, has recently made an appearance. And the Chameleon set his greedy little eyes on Po’s Staff of Wisdom, which would give him the power to recall all the villains Po defeated to the spirit realm.

So Po will need help. He finds it (sort of?) in the form of the sly and cunning thief Zhen (Golden Globe winner Awkwafina), a vixen who really gets under Po’s skin, but whose skills will prove invaluable. In their quest to protect the Valley of Peace from the reptilian clutches of the Chameleon, this comically odd couple will have to act together. In this adventure, Po will discover that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places.
