Sloane (Emma Roberts) and Jackson (Luke Bracey) hate the holidays. On these occasions, both are alone, have to take a seat at the children’s table or are forced to bring strange partners just to meet expectations. But when they meet on a very pathetic Christmas, the two strangers make an arrangement: they will be the other’s partner at all the festive occasions of the year. By sharing a common aversion to the holidays and making sure that the other person is not interested in them, they become the perfect match, which leads to countless funny and provocative situations. But at the end of a year of absurd holidays, Sloane and Jackson realize that what they both hate might become something they both love.
