The Mallard family is in a time of crisis. While father Mack is interested in keeping his family safe and content to stay forever on their peaceful New England pond, mother Pam is eager to show their children, Dax and Gwen, the world. After a family of migrating ducks stops by the pond with thrilling tales of faraway places, Pam convinces Mack to embark on a trip to tropical Jamaica via New York City.
