Ricky, Abby and their two children live in Newcastle. They are a strong family and they care for each other, even if they are struggling. Temporarily out of work, Ricky sees a tremendous chance when the opportunity arises to be a courier and driver on his own car. His wife Abby, a housekeeper, helps him fulfill his dream by selling his own car, so Ricky can buy a van and become an independent driver.
But Ricky soon discovers that he has to account for the transport company that distributes his races and controls his work and, finally, his life and that of his family. Therefore, they all enter the infernal spiral caused by uber-ization.
