Sarah is a mother whose son, Miles, gives worrying signs of being under the influence of a malevolent, supernatural force.

Fearing for the safety of her family, Sarah must subdue her maternal instinct, who asks her to protect her son, in favor of a detective instinct, which might reveal to him what or who causes the evil to which Miles is not can cope.

Sarah is forced to seek answers in her own past, going through a series of terrifying adventures, in which the boundary between reality and perception becomes totally diffuse.
